At Siemering Lodge, we take great pride in recognizing the members who go above and beyond to serve their communities, honor our heritage, and uphold the values we cherish. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Brother Joe Luna—an outstanding member whose life and career reflect an unwavering commitment to service.

Joe Luna currently serves as a cemetery administration specialist at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Since September 2019, he’s played a vital role in ensuring that veterans are laid to rest with the dignity and respect they’ve earned. His work is not just a job—it’s a calling.

Joe attended South San Antonio High School – West and graduated in 2002. He later earned an associate’s degree in general studies from Vincennes University. He also proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 60th Engineer Company, where he lived out the values of duty, honor, and sacrifice.

What makes Joe’s story even more special is how deeply he remains connected to the lodge and its mission. He regularly participates in cemetery clean-up events at the Hermann Sons Cemetery—efforts that help preserve the final resting places of our ancestors and fellow veterans. His involvement is a reminder that honoring the past is something we must continue doing together in the present.

If you’re interested in giving back, we invite you to join us at one of our upcoming cemetery clean-up events. Details are available at siemeringlodge.com.

Let’s keep honoring the legacy of those who came before us by working side-by-side today.
In Freundschaft, Liebe und Treue.
